No Professional Cricket will be played in India till 15th April
The ongoing ODI series between India and South Africa has been called off due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) chaos. The first ODI between India and South Africa was washed out due to the rain in Dharamsala. The remaining two ODIs were scheduled to be played in Lucknow and Kolkata respectively.
Earlier the BCCI had already announced that the IPL has been postponed from 29th March to 15th April.Before it was anounced by the BCCI that the remaining two ODIs will be played in the empty stadiums.
Now BCCI has called off the ongoing series between India and South Africa due to the COVID-19 threat which is pandemic. The Lucknow ODI was scheduled to be played on sunday 15th March and the Kolkata ODI was scheduled to be played on 18th March.
The BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said on 13th March,"Cricket South Africa will visit India at a later date to play three One-day Internationals. The BCCI-CSA will jointly work out the revised schedule."
He further added, "the South African team will leave from Dehi by taking the earliest flight possible."India has already been recorded with more than 80 positive cases of the coronavirus so far.
The WHO has already declared the COVID-19 as pandemic and according to the WHO the Coronavirus has now far stretched to almost 118 nations worldwide with the death toll over 5000
internationally.
